The Women of the Future Global Network was launched at a gala dinner at the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur. Women of the Future founder Pinky Lilani, and British High Commissioner to Malaysia, HE Vicki Treadell officiated the launch of the UK based network, which comprises accomplished and influential women from across business, media, culture and public service. Over 200 guests, including Professor Dato' Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman and Dato’ Noor Farida, were present as Malaysia was chosen as the first country outside the UK to have the network. At the dinner, Datuk Jimmy Choo, environmentalist and entrepreneur Yasmin Rasyid, and constitutional and human rights lawyer Firdaus Husni were recognised for their achievements in their respective fields, which serve as an inspiration to other women.
