Vote now for the women who are championing a greener Hong Kong

In partnership with the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation, Hong Kong Tatler is recognizing some of the city’s most inspirational women. From the medicine to the environment, the nominees for the Women of Hope awards have all truly dedicated themselves to making a difference.

One category for the awards is “Eco-Warrior,” recognizing those women who are committed advocates for our planet. The nominees for this category are Joanne Ooi, Lisa Christensen, Samantha Woods, and Sharon Kwok-Pong.

Ooi, a jewellery designer, is the founder of Clean Air Network. The independent NGO strives to promote and educate about clean air in Hong Kong. Ooi’s work with CAN earned her a spot on TIME’s “100 Most Influential” list in 2011.

Christensen founded Hong Kong Cleanup, which holds events to raise awareness about environmental responsibility in HK. She also started Ecozine, an online guide to green-living published in Hong Kong, which raises awareness about Hong Kong’ s

Woods is the co-founder of Time to Grow, an urban farming initiative that aims to add more sustainable greenery to city spaces. Furthering her cause, Woods also hosts educational workshops and provides bespoke farm installation services around the city.

Kwok-Pong, daughter of a founding member of Ocean Park, has environmentalism in her blood. She’s served as managing director of WildAid HK and executive director of AquaMeridian and AquaSilva.
