Vintage Grail, in partnership with Tatler Philippines, introduced its Christmas 2020 catalogue through an intimate virtual dinner with old and new clients, who shared their unique stories on investing in rare and vintage luxury timepieces

In a recent private virtual event hosted by Tatler Philippines, in partnership with regional watch purveyor Vintage Grail, watch enthusiasts and collectors gathered to talk about the investment value of watches. Hosted by Stephanie Zubiri, the conversation together with Vintage Grail co-founders Jesse Maxwell, Paolo Martel, and Franco Varona was made more engaging as they partake the delectable spread prepared by Shangri-La at the Fort Manila, which was paired with a bottle of 2015 Saint Jacques de Siran.

Paolo Martel, one of the co-founders of the regional watch company, shared few tips on watch investment; answering questions from Zubiri, as well as of the guests, such as what type of watches does Vintage Grail source, the best watches to collect, the effects of the ongoing pandemic crisis on the collecting value of watches, and more.

Enjoying the conversation, the guests chimed in with their personal watch investment stories, focusing on the sentimental perspective. Some even showed what were they wearing at the moment and shared the story behind it. Indeed, the more meaningful the timepiece, the higher its value for the owner and would consider passing it down to the next generation in the family.

More than just objects to tell time, watches reflect a person’s style and personality. They serve as both daily companions and vessels for cherished memories, making them ideal gift choices.
