The high-octane energy was tangible the moment one stepped in to the Astor Room foyer, St Regis Kuala Lumpur, for The Melium Group and Malaysia Tatler 30th anniversary charity auction. Fabulously kitted-out guests were warmly received by co-chairwomen Dato’ Seri Farah Khan, Florence Fang and Lee Jim Leng, and their fellow vivacious committee members. 400 guests, including veteran supporters like Datin Yvette Kang and Tunku Mohamed Alauddin, fondly recalled good memories from the past 2 charity auctions and hinted on items they were eyeing. Needless to say, many walked out of the auction hall, 3 hours later, buzzing from the action-packed proceedings and as proud owners of exclusive wins. Celebrations of the RM4.5 million sum raised continued on over dinner reception at the grand ballroom, where Insta-worthy moments abound, with performances by opera singer Fiona Mariah and powerhouse Janet Lee to match the vibrant atmosphere.
