We follow up with the girl behind Malaysia Tatler’s famous February 2012 cover, on finding love and romping with elephants – in haute designer threads, no less.

Natasha Fusil is a bundle of laughter and animation in real life – quite the opposite of the poker-faced beauty on the cover of Malaysia Tatler’s Februrary 2012 issue. The daughter of Datuk Wan Fusil Wan Mahmood and Datin Jude Khadijah is framed by two majestic beasts, evoking an elegant and imposing jungle goddess.

The powerful cover is arguably one of Malaysia Tatler’s most memorable shoots, and a quick Google search will lead you to its various pride of places on Pinterest boards.

Tasha recalls that experience with a twinkle in her eye, her voice resonating pride and awe: “The hardest thing to do was to not smile,” she revealed, as she flipped through her glamour shots. “But how not to when I was dressed in all my favourite designers?” she lamented, referring to her wardrobe of Gucci, Versace and Chanel.

Tasha also joked about all the silly things her younger self said in the interview, including meeting her ideal man – which couldn’t be more timelier given her engagement shortly after the video shoot.

Stay tuned for the next unveil of our Cover 2 Cover personality – hint: a lady boss who’s worthy of her two cover features.
