Society's elite came out in full force to support The Nature Conservancy's gala auction dinner at the Grand Hyatt

Hosted by Moses Tsang, Jeannie Cho-lee and Lily Leung, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) gala auction dinner was an evening to remember. Guests invited to the November 16 event included some of Hong Kong’s and the region’s most influential business people, society leaders and A-list celebrities, including Michael Wong, Karen Mok, Lynn Hsieh, Michael and Frances Tien, Cissy Pao-Watari, Eleanor Morris, Kevin and Sabrina Lam, Monica Wong and William and Marie-Christine Louey.

Jointly sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Bank Julius Baer, the gala auction featured art works from celebrated Chinese artists, including Yue Minjun, Wallace Chan, Xu Lei, Yin Zhaoyang and Zhang Enil, as well as French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. The auction also featured wines and champagnes from some of the world’s leading wineries, including Château Cheval Blanc, Château d’Yquem, Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Harlan Estate, Krug, Opus One and Sassicaia. A silent auction was also featured, which included luxury travel and dining experiences as well as unique jewellery and collectibles.

Before the auction Moses Tsang took to the stage to remind guests why they were there. “I’ve been a TNC volunteer leader for over a decade and am gratified to have seen our programmes grow,” he said. Proceeds of this year’s gala will go towards supporting TNC’s conservation projects and further build operations across the region.
