Following a longstanding tradition, a notice (displayed on a ceremonial easel) has been placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace following the announcement of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child. The notice will be on display for approximately 24 hours. When it is taken down, it is sent to the Privy Council Office so that the details of may be recorded in the Privy Council records.

People gathered around Buckingham Palace to get a glimpse of the notice and the youngest royal to date. Besides the notice, another well-observed tradition is raising official flags at both the Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. The Royal family continues to fascinate the world, now moreso with another adorable addition to the family!
