Every year Malaysia Tatler celebrates outstanding individuals in society with an awards ceremony at our annual ball. 

Made up of five categories, we recognise these admirable winners who have in one way or another made their mark in society.

Couple of the Year: Dato' James Greaves and Tunku Datin Myra

Entrepreneur Dato' James Greaves and Tunku Datin Myra are a power couple in every sense of the word. He is a successful entrepeneur while she comes from royal bloodline and runs her own events management company as well as her own line of luxury resort and beachwear called J&M.

They joke, laugh and compliment one another, all on top of being parents to two young kids. Through thick and thin, they have always been there for one another.

As a great couple to emulate, Malaysia Tatler is proud to award Dato' James Greaves and Tunku Datin Myra with this year's Couple of the Year award.

Force For Good: Ganesh Muren

The man behind Saora Industries and our January cover star, Ganesh Muren is on a mission to help the underprivileged gain access to one of the most important qualities needed to sustain life – water.

An engineer by trade, Muren has created two water filtration systems that are easy-to-use and cost effective, with a goal to help provide villagers in rural Malaysia with a clean and sustainable supply of drinking water.

Because of his efforts, he has also been selected as one of the key members of Transformasi Nasional 2050 involved in the technology sector.

Because of his valiant efforts to help those in need of it, we are proud to present this year's Force For Good award to him.

Woman on the Rise: Nadia Nasimuddin

The youngest daughter of Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin and Puan Sri Zaleha Ismail, Nadia stepped into the limelight during her late 20s to continue her father’s legacy.

This multi-talented ambitious lady wears many hats: a wife and mother, a fashionista, our November cover star, a director of the Naza Group of Companies and a restaurateur. 

Besides overseeing the family's business F&B arm, she is also the brains behind Portluxe, an online platform for buying and selling authentic pre-owned branded items. 

She juggles all her responsibilities with aplomb and as an individual that continues to be on the up and up, making her our 2017 Woman on the Rise.

Entrepreneur Par Excellence: Joel Neoh

Our April cover star takes home this year's entrepreneur of the year award due to his outstanding leadership in helming successful groups Groupon, KFit and also Fave.

These e-commerce portals have done a stellar job and promoting all types of lucrative deals for consumers to experience, propelling both the fitness orientated KFit and the service-focused Fave to new levels of commercial success.

Besides driving his companies to new heights, Neoh counts the pursuit of happiness and those around him as his top priority.

This, coupled with his visionary characteristics, makes him a perfect fit for this award.

Diamond of Excellence Award: Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Abdul Rahman

This good-natured individual runs Rahim & Co, who celebrates their 40th anniversary as one of the largest real estate consultancy firms in Malaysia.

With a long history of being an excellent businessman, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim has previosuly served as a valuation officer with the Ministry of Finance, the properties manager of Malayan Railways and Bank Bumiputra Malaysia.

His keen business insights also saw him act as the past president of The Royal Instituion of Surveyors in Malaysia as well as the Malaysian chapter of the International Real Estate Federation.

Malaysia Tatler recognises his deeds and acoomplishments with the Diamond of Excellence award.
