The Apprentice: One Championship Edition Contestants—Where Are They Now?

Where are they now? Tatler Singapore finds out what the other contestants of the inaugural season of The Apprentice: One Championship Edition have been up to since leaving the competition

After 11 pulsating episodes, which kept us on the edge of our seats, it was announced that Venezuelan Jessica Ramella was the victor of the inaugural season of The Apprentice: One Championship Edition. She will become One Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong's new protégé and chief of staff.

But what has happened to the other contestants on the reality TV-styled competition? Tatler Singapore caught up with some of them to find out what they have gone on to do since leaving the competition.

Louie Sangalang

First runner-up Louie Sangalang has returned to the Philippines to rebuild his procurement startup Neovirtus Consulting whilst completing his post-graduate studies in professional science at the Technological Institute of the Philipines (TIP) as well as a diploma in Procurement & Supply with the Charted Institute of Procurement & Supply. Sangalang is also currently an adjunct professor at TIP in his field of expertise: procurement, supply management as well as entrepreneurship.

Monica Millington

Millington has found a revitalised passion and energy for Tropick, her premium menswear business, since leaving the competition. She has developed and launched a new line of loungewear for her brand, with more exciting additions in the making. When asked who she would love to work with again, Millington said she would love to work with Chadsey. Aside from having an excellent working dynamic together, Millington shares that they had built a strong friendship through the course of the show.

Irina Chadsey

Despite not making it to the finals, Chadsey's performance during the competition had impressed co-judges Chatri Sityodtong and Niharika Singh. As a result, Chadsey was offered the position of director in the Global Strategic Key Accounts team, one of the largest divisions in One Championship.

The sky is not the limit and there is so much more in all of us than we think. I definitely rediscovered myself through the competition where I broke and exceeded the limits of my boundaries, both physical and mental... it [the competition] showed me just how strong I actually am, being able to persevere and keep pushing when the times are the hardest

Paulina Purnomowati

Purnomowati left her position as country general manager of Valiram Indonesia, a leading retail specialist brand dealing with luxury goods to join The Apprentice: One Championship Edition, making it to the final five before being eliminated. Since making her departure from the competition, Purnomowati has found herself a position at Mount Scopus Group, a food retail company in Indonesia as its chief commercial officer where her expertise in this field is sure to shine.

Kexin Ye

Returning to Germany after her elimination in episode 9, Ye has gone on to take a position as an entrepreneur-in-residence with fintech company, TechMiners. Inspired by her time on The Apprentice: One Championship Edition, Ye has taken the initiative to be the lead in building a vertical business unit within TechMiner as a personal endeavour. Given the opportunity, Ye has shared that she would like to work with her teammates, Ramella, Millington and Chadsey again.

Nazee Sajedi

Coming from the male-dominated industry of aviation, Sajedi came into the competition with the mindset to win it. Despite having been part of a double elimination in episode 9, Sajedi's efforts in an earlier business challenge led to the creation of La Takorea, the world's first digital restaurant. Sajedi is currently back to consulting in the aviation industry and has shared with Tatler Singapore that while she is unable to divulge more, she is also currently working on a start-up that would revolutionise the future of travel in aviation.

Clinton Tudor

After his tumultuous time on The Apprentice: One Championship Edition, Tudor found a reignited passion for martial arts and left the world of corporate marketing behind as well his marketing technology company, Interlike, to pursue his passion. He has since gone on to launch Fight Show Live, a dedicated combat sports broadcast and distribution production company based in New Zealand.

Eugene Chung

Learning from his time on The Apprentice: One Championship Edition, Chung left the competition with a fresh perspective and joined Google as a consultant. Focused on his core competencies of digital strategies and growth, Chung has also been given opportunities to work on projects in other fields such as entertainment, cryptocurrency as well as Non-Fungible Tokens—areas where he can best channel his creative marketing expertise. Despite the difficulties he faced with relating to other contestants, Chung would be honoured to work with any [if not all] of his fellow contestants again.

Teirra Kamolvattanavith

Kamolvattanavith came into The Apprentice: One Championship Edition as a multimedia specialist. Motivated by her experience during the competition, Kamolvattanavith has gone on to work on a podcast series about modern slavery in Asia as well as several documentaries for major international media outlets.

Lara Pearl Alvarez

Alvarez is an accountant by profession, and also an experienced martial artist with One Championship. As a single mother, Alvarez came into the competition determined to win to provide a better life for her son. Undeterred by her short tenure on The Apprentice: One Championship Edition, Alvarez is currently undergoing bubble training for the Philippine kickboxing team tryouts for a chance to represent he country in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam this year.

No dreams come true without obsession. I regained my confidence in who I am as a person and I got to discover the things that I lack for me to succeed in the business world... it also takes experience to succeed, [and] I shouldn't be afraid to take risks and make mistakes for that's how I'll be able to learn
