A delightful holiday is coming up! Shangri-La The Fort hosts its 2021 Christmas auction with the help of artists Tim Yap, Rajo Laurel, Bea Valdes, Elena Coyiuto, and Tracie Anglo Dizon
"An Artful Christmas"! Isn’t that the most spot-on, perfect name for an initiative that seeks to bring both art and sharing into our lives this Festive Season?
In a partnership between Shangrila-La The Fort Manila and Tatler Philippines, a fun and artistic Christmas auction will take place via private Zoom on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6pm to 7pm.
We asked five generous and talented creatives to breathe life into four-feet-tall Nutcracker statues, perfect for the home….painted and decorated according to each of their own tastes. Elena Coyiuto, Tracie Anglo Dizon, Rajo Laurel, Bea Valdes, and Tim Yap did not hesitate and enthusiastically agreed to be part of the project.
Christmas Nutcracker soldiers are decorative nutcracker statues, most commonly made to resemble a toy soldier. The Nutcracker soldier originates from late-17th century Germany. It was said that the dolls are symbols of good luck, frightening away malevolent spirits and protecting your home.
