Much brouhaha surrounded the surprise ‘landing’ of a Boeing 737 aircraft in Bukit Bintang a month ago, but its sudden appearance has finally been disclosed. The brainchild of Arvin Randahwa, CEO of TwoSpicy Entertainment Live, Plane In The City is a follow up to Dinner In The Sky, which found a home in Malaysia two years ago. After being given a complete paintjob by AkzoNobel, a disused Boeing 737 aircraft was transformed into a unique dining space that is now listed in the Malaysia Book of Records as the First Aeroplane Restaurant in Malaysia. In addition to a three-course meal catered by Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, passengers are treated to inflight entertainment and novel experiences: this might be your only chance to visit a cockpit or to walk on the wing of an aircraft.
