Meet the adorable royals under 12 years old

We're definitely familiar with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis—but what about the other adorable pageboys and bridesmaids we see at the royal weddings? With Children's Day approaching, we celebrate the youngest members of the British royal family, from the Queen's youngest grandchild (who is only 11) to her eight great-grandchildren.

1. Prince George

Since he was first presented to the world on the steps of St Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing six years ago, we've practically watched this sassy little prince grow up. The first-born of Prince William and Kate Middleton and the great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth, Prince George is third in the line of succession to the British throne—which means he is almost guaranteed to become the future King.

2. Princess Charlotte

The second child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Princess Charlotte is fourth in line to the throne. Her full name is Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, in honour of her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and her grandmother, the late Princess Diana. The young royal started her first day of school earlier this month, attending Thomas's Battersea elementary school with her older brother Prince George.

3. Prince Louis

The youngest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton stole our hearts at his first Trooping the Colour parade this June, when he waved excitedly from his mother's arm on the Buckingham Palace balcony. The one-year-old is fifth in line of succession to the British throne—the first British prince to be ranked behind an elder sister, thanks to the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, which repeals the male-preference primogeniture.

4. Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first child has been shrouded in secrecy even before he was born. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are determined to give their baby a normal life away from the public eye, but we are expecting to see more pictures of the adorable baby—who we hear looks just like Prince Harry—on the family's first official tour to South Africa. Archie is seventh in the line of succession to the British throne.

5. James, Viscount Severn

The youngest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, 11-year-old James is the youngest child of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. While he is technically a prince, the Earl and Countess of Wessex decided—with approval from the Queen—that their children would be styled as the children of an earl instead. Because he is the only son of Prince Edward, he inherited his father’s title of Viscount Severn at birth. He is currently 12th in line to the throne.

6. Savannah Anne Kathleen Phillips

Eight-year-old Savannah Phillips is Queen Elizabeth's oldest great-grandchild, as well as the oldest grandchild of Princess Anne. The firstborn of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly is close in age with Prince George, and they are often seen goofing off together at royal weddings and functions, including that time Savannah covered George's mouth during the 2018 Trooping the Colour parade. She is 16th in line to the throne.

7. Isla Elizabeth Phillips

Seven-year-old Isla Phillips is the youngest daughter of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly. Like her sister Savannah, Isla is close to her cousins and often seen playing together with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Mia Tindall. She was also a bridesmaid at Princess Eugenie's wedding, who is her first cousin once removed. Isla is 17th in line to the throne.

8. Mia Grace Tindall

Mia Grace Tindall is the eldest daughter of Zara Phillips and former rugby union player Mike Tindall. The great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth is best known for picking up the monarch's purse during an official family portrait, which made for a spontaneous and adorable photo. She is 19th in line to the throne.

9. Lena Elizabeth Tindall

Born in the same year as Prince Louis, one-year-old Lena Tindall is the youngest child of Princess Anne's daughter Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall. The toddler's middle name is a nod towards her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Harry is her godfather. She is 20th in line to the British throne, after her sister Mia.
