The recent Melium & Malaysia Tatler's 30th Anniversary Charity Auction raised a grand total of RM4.5mil from generous donors. The proceeds were donated to 20 charitable institutions including Persatuan DAYBREAK, Women’s Aid Organisation, Cancer Research Malaysia, Shelter Home for Children, Tasputra Perkim and Mercy Malaysia. Co-chairwoman of the charity auction committee Dato' Seri Farah Khan paid tribute to the NGO leaders for their hard work, passion and dedication in her welcome speech. She elaborated that the committee continued with the fundraiser despite the soft economy because the underprivileged would need the assistance even more in these challenging times. The cheques were formally presented to the NGOs in the presence of VIP guests such as Tengku Puteri Tan Sri Meriam, Tengku Puteri Dato' Muhaini and Tunku Dato' Seri Nurul Hayati.
