At the Maserati showroom along Leng Kee Road, one can always appreciate a symphony of roars and purrs made by the powerful engines of the various rides by Italian supercar marque. And this was particularly evident when Singapore Tatler partnered Tridente Automobili, the official importer for Maserati cars in Singapore, to host a test drive session for the petrolheads among society friends. Sustenir co-founder and CEO Benjamin Swan returned from his brief encounter with the Quattroporte, the brand's flagship executive saloon car, beaming, while Anthony Yong, the automobile enthusiast, gave a thumbs-up to the GranTurismo, the two-door, four-seater sports coupe. Other thoroughbred supercars the guests tried during the rain-drenched evening included the Maserati Ghibli, the sporty sedan; the Levante, its first SUV; and the GranCabrio, the open-top sports coupe.
After the adrenaline-laced test drive session, Tatler editor Terence Lim took the opportunity to showcase the video collaboration between Maserati and the magazine, which featured interior designer Leonard Lee, entrepreneur Shireena Shroff Manchharam and ophthalmologist Marcus Ang, who shared how their philosophies at work matched the carmaker's dedication to design, craftsmanship and performance. Guests clapped and cheered for Shireena, who was present at the event, as they heard her emphasise the importance of details when it comes to both her bag designs and car aesthetics. Lively conversations ensued as the showroom transformed into an intimate dinner setting as the culinary team from Atipco charmed guests with a delectable three-course Italian meal.
