Over HK$3 million was raised at the Make-A-Wish 20th anniversary gala dinner, enabling the foundation to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses in Hong Kong and Macau. Eight heartfelt stories from Make-A-Wish’s (MAW) “Fundraising Ambassadors” aged between five to eleven was a highlight of the night at their first gala dinner, in celebration of the foundation's launch in 1998. Hosted by MAW’s Gala Dinner Committee Chairperson Colleen Fung at the Grand Hyatt, the fundraising event included a live auction and pledges for Wishes. Among the 400 guests were the likes of, Terence Fung, William Fung, and Vincent Lo and Loletta Chu-Lo who enjoyed performances by MAW Alum Michelle Siu—the accomplished pianist who lost her sight at three months old—and singer-songwriter duo, Kai Chee and Kai Leng.
