In this exclusive virtual affair hosted by Tatler Philippines and Lexus, guests recalled their most adventurous destinations and the memories they cherish

Perhaps we can all agree that when we think of our escapades with family and friends, the scrumptious dishes and new recipes we've tried also come to mind. The destinations we've been to were best experienced through the senses so that the memories would be ingrained in our mind and heart.

As one encounters a multi-sensorial experience through dining destinations, one also finds the same precision and grace in the finely crafted automobile he rides to get there. With Lexus, that is not only the goal but a service delivered to a tee.

Lexus is a Japanese luxury automotive brand that since its debut in 1989 has been making waves through quality, durable, and reliable luxury vehicles with unparalleled experience. In 2009, it came to the Philippines and had sold around 6,000 vehicles and about 500 hybrid cars, as of date.

Through an exclusive get-together via Zoom, travel and gastronomy enthusiasts shared about their top picks among Lexus' top-of-the-class line of vehicles and their unforgettable gustatory experiences.

To complete the attendees' fix, Tatler prepared specially curated kits for everyone which include Spanish and Japanese dishes from Txoko Asador and Miyazaki Gyu, bottles of sake from Yoi, and some gifts from Lexus and Tatler.

Headlining the virtual affair's conversation are some of the country's tastemakers in the food and beverage industry. Ana Lorenzana De Ocampo of the Wildflour Group of restaurants, AJ and Monica Garcia of Don Papa Rum and Santa Ana Gin, and Chef Stephan Duhesme of Metiz restaurant joined Franco Varona, the host for the evening, in talking about their travels, inspirations for the creation of their respective businesses, and what stood out for them most in their culinary adventures.

The Tatler friends who tuned in the discussion also shared their own stories, emphasising the celebratory moments they've shared with their families and friends in those extraordinary trips.

These one-for-the-books stories are the reason why Lexus' brand philosophy revolves around "Experience Amazing". The multi-sensorial journeys of each individual is what truly matters in his every ride of any of Lexus' super efficient vehicles, particularly its line of hybrid cars.

Being arguably the largest seller of hybrid cars in the local market, Lexus Manila continues to strengthen this thrust as hybrids are considered to be more efficient and environmentally-friendly compared to other types of cars. Moreover, it saves you from spending lots of gas while on the road and enables you to seamlessly shift from gas to electric while driving.

"With the hybrid technology rising nowadays and the demand for having a hybrid car continues to go on trend, we're definitely going towards that direction and it would be better if you become a part of it now than later," Rodriguez said. "It is environmentally-friendly, powerful, and economical at the same time."

The evening was capped off by some parting words from Lexus Manila's executive vice president Masabumi Hisamatsu, and a group photo for everyone to cherish in lieu of on-site events at the time.
