Dr. Reena Rajasuriar, Dr. Fatehah Mohd Omar and Dr. Nethia Mohana Kumaran

The L’Oreal Foundation and Unesco partnered to hold the 11th edition of the ‘For Women in Science Award’ ceremony at the St Regis Kuala Lumpur. Since its inception, the awards have honoured and rewarded outstanding women scientists for their good work in various sciences. Guests like Datuk Abu Bakara Mohamad Diah, Deputy Minister of MOSTI, Dr. Andrea Lim and Dato’ Winnie Loo were present to watch Dr. Reena Rajasuriar, Dr. Fatehah Mohd Omar and Dr. Nethia Mohana Kumaran receive top accolades and a RM30,000 grant this year. Dr. Reena was honoured for her research on unlocking the code of immunological ageing process, while Dr. Fatehah of University Sains Malaysia for her research on waste water treatment for palm oil industries, and Dr. Nethia Mohana for her research on a customised treatment for nasopharyngeal cancer.
