It was a night of great food and wine during The Omi Japanese Wagyu Beef launch held at the Kai Restaurant in Greenbelt 5. It has been said that Omi is the most superior among the three supreme Wagyu beef types, the other two being Kobe and Matsusaka. As a part of the night’s programme, a lecture on the history of Omi and the grading and classification of Wagyu were presented. Guests then dined on a sevencourse Omi degustation menu prepared by Chef Gilbert Pangilinan. Beringer wines were served to compliment the delicious meal.
