Over 200 guests showed up at the Great Room of W Kuala Lumpur for a fun night out as Generation T Asia unveils its 30 Malaysian honourees who made it into the Gen.T community this year. Aside from our 2019 honourees, our past honourees such as Timothy Tiah, Heidy Quah and Arzumy MD joined our Tatler friends for a fun night of drinks and games in good company.
Upon arrival, guests stepped into a neon-lit tunnel to enter the party venue, where our photo wall awaits. Inside the ballroom, guests are served with canapes such as foie gras chawanmushi, torched belly salmon nigiri and chocolate cake pop, with Hennessy cocktails for our non-Muslim guests. the way, many captured their memories of the night with a picture at our photobooth and the YSL Beauté beauty station alit with scarlet neon lights.
During the main event, futuristic dancers performed an energetic dance routine before unfurling the exhibition display of our 30 honourees at the centre of the ballroom. After the unveiling, we announced our surprise for the evening—a guest performance by singer-songwriter Gen.T 2019 honouree Shila Amzah. Everyone left with a smile on their faces whilst clutching a goody bag from YSL Beauté, consisting of a fragrance for men and a lipstick for women.
