Inviting in some of the country's foremost architects and interior designers, Tatler friends share what truly living by design means

At this period in time, there's no escaping our homes. Hence the demand for comfortable and aesthetically exquisite furniture pieces has no way but up. At the recent get-together via Zoom hosted by Tatler Philippines and Casa Bella, luxury home living stirred the conversation among friends and families while at the comfort of their homes. Hosted by Tatler Homes Philippines editor Stephanie Zubiri, Tatler friends shared among themselves what are their recent redesigning projects with their own homes and how the elite European furniture brands of modern and timeless designs have been centrepieces of their luxurious abodes.

For over a decade, Casa Bella Home and Living has been bringing into the country some of the world's leading brands that have released such iconic Modern furniture pieces. For this get-together, Stefano Crea of Cassina, Gianluca Righetto of Moroso, and Victor Moncho of Kettal shared insights on their recent collections and innovations, and why having a comfortable living set matters greatly.

With some of the country's top architects and interior designers present at the virtual party, Zubiri asked them some background details of their finest works in the past using brands distributed by Casa Bella. "Timeless" and "elegant" are just some of the words used to describe the pieces and collections they used. But most importantly, the pieces have been very functional and have maintained optimum quality for years.

It was a lovely evening indeed of meaningful conversations among friends and families. Making the virtual party more interesting is the sumptuous Spanish fare for the guests prepared by Bar Pintxos paired with a bottle of sangria: Pintxo Trio (composed of foie gras with apple compote and PX reduction, creamy bacalao with house-made aioli, chorizo and brie), a delicious spread of jamon allioli with Melba toast, gambas, and a generous serving of paella mixta. The Tatler team sent the well-curated feast to each guests in boxes, with a special souvenir gift from Casa Bella and a copy of the latest Tatler Homes Philippines.

"When Joseph and I first started Casa Bella, above and beyond beautifying homes, we also wanted to make the art we enjoyed seeing during our travels accessible," shared Stephanie Tay. "One thing made evident to us is that art not only exists painted, framed, or sculpted. Art also exists as pieces in our homes habitable... How not to appreciate these iconic pieces that have a strong presence not only for their beauty but for the history behind each piece decorating the homes of collectors and enthusiasts alike?" she continued.

"We have gathered you all tonight to celebrate iconic living with us to honour brands such as Cassina, Kettal, and Moroso that have been celebrated over time by many people all over the world," said Joseph Tay. "We hope that you leave with the appreciation that icons are being made to this very day and that we at Casa Bella are part of this—pushing for the icons of the future."
