From fashion icons to party-loving princes and princesses, these are the new generation of royals sharing their glamorous lives on Instagram
It used to be that royals were extremely private in their personal lives—with that much time spent in the limelight, it's not hard to see why. But times are changing with the new generation, and it's almost difficult to keep them away from social media. With Princess Beatrice's private Instagram account recently leaked (@beayork), we wouldn't be surprised if Prince Harry or Meghan had secret social media accounts hidden away. Even the Queen published her first Instagram post in March this year!
And because we are always curious for a peek into the charmed lives of these blue-bloods, we have compiled a comprehensive list of modern royals from Europe, each of them with a fascinating ancestry. Here's who to follow on Instagram.
1. Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece
Who she is: The Crown Princess is the mother of five—Princess Maria-Olympia, Prince Constantine-Alexios, Prince Achileas-Andreas, Prince Odysseas-Kimon, and Prince Aristidis-Stavros. She is also the founder and creative director of her eponymous childrenswear label, Marie-Chantal, which she launched in 2000.
Pedigree: Marie-Chantal is the daughter of billionaire Robert Warren Miller. A princess by marriage, her husband is Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece, who is the eldest son of Constantine II of Greece and Anne-Marie of Denmark.
Fun fact: Marie-Chantal was born in London but grew up studying in Hong Kong, Switzerland, Paris, and finally New York, where she was pursuing a degree in History of Art at New York University before Crown Prince Pavlos proposed to her.
