"One of my favourite parts about the wedding is all the singing, dancing, loud music and entertainment," proclaimed the groom, Dato' Sukhjit Singh Gill, whose brother and music partner Dato’ Manjit Singh played an active role at his reception. Being part of an international music group like Goldkartz does have entertainment perks for a festive ambiance: wedding guests such as Sultan Nazrin Shah and Raja Permaisuri Perak Tunku Zara Salim were clearly enjoying the lively performances.
Walking into the red-embellished hall at the groom's arm, the bride Datin Simerjit Kaur was a vision in a pink lehenga-style dress, glittering with beads and sequins. Their romance is a tale of serendipity: They met through a mutual friend at a function, that spiralled into a courtship of 2 years before they decided to tie the knot. The couple had also created a logo bearing their initials 'S & S', inscribed upon wedding cards and party favours for guest.
