Fake tattoos, toy cigarettes, sunglasses and headgear painted with fake blood—these were the accessories spotted on guests descending upon the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore's ballroom, where society darling Grace Wong threw her black society-themed 60th birthday bash. Held on a Sunday evening in early December, the party kicked off with a grand entrance by the birthday girl, who aptly took on the role of a triad boss that evening, clad in a fierce tattoo-print ensemble and flanked by two bodyguards. A sword fight between two men ensued as they vied for the lady boss' stamp of approval. During the eight-course Chinese dinner, other performances also took place, including a fun ballroom dance act by Grace and her husband Kevin Wong, as well as a sultry belly-dance solo by the multi-talented birthday girl. On the side, the evening also raised some funds for a cause that Grace regularly supports: Make-A-Wish Singapore, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
