Some of the city’s most influential people came together for a good cause at the annual gala dinner of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which promotes strong business relations between France and Hong Kong. The guest list of about 600 was a roll call of power players: Alain Li, Sham Chellaram, Mignonne Cheng, Ronald Lu, Vincent Lo and Benjamin Vuchot, to name a few. The ball, held at the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai, raised more than HK$1.7 million for the French Chamber Foundation, which provides assistance to the city’s low-income workers. “Art de Vivre” was the evening’s theme, and guests certainly enjoyed the Gallic art of living well, sipping on champagne and supping on dishes by Michelin-starred chef Stéphanie Le Quellec.
