Malaysia’s King of Fashion Dato’ Sri Bernard Chandran took the staple baju kurung for a vintage spin in his latest Petang Raya collection showcase. Held at The St Regis Kuala Lumpur, the collection was an opulent reimagination of Malay traditional wear infused with the vibes of a 70s Parisian night. On the collection which took approximately only 40 days to complete, Dato' Sri Bernard Chandran explained: "This collection is about taking the trendy and high fashion to kurung’s term. I have always believed, Malaysian women can be trendy and still keep to the boundaries of our cultures and dignity." The luxe afternoon ended on a sweet note with a sumptuous tea time spread.
