After watching the movie In The Mood for Love for the sixth time, new bride Steph Ong finally agreed to the suggestion of her groom, Luis Del Rosario, regarding the venue of their wedding—Hong Kong. Her choice of motif, the colour black, can be considered most unromantic, but it made a striking contrast to her cream-coloured, royalty-inspired wedding gown designed by Rosalyn Lagdameo. Steph’s mother, jewellery designer Wynn Wynn Ong, meticulously designed the fairy tale-like crowns for the bride’s entourage. At the ceremony, champagne was served to the guests, and three kisses later, the couple were finally married. The reception at the Repulse Bay Hotel’s The Verandah was every bit as elegant as the wedding ceremony, with every table decorated with whimsical roses as centrepiece. Hors d’oeuvres were served immediately, and the dinner spread was filled with a variety of Hong Kong dishes, as well as five different cakes for dessert.
