Charity Luncheon at 8 Conlay

Some of the city’s most elegant women came to support Puan Sri Toh Ee Siew-Kua and her fellow big-hearted friends in raising money for Angsana Care, an organisation that helps to improve the quality of life for paediatric palliative care patients and their families. Guests had fun dressing up in oriental-themed colours and dresses. Puan Sri Kua, who is a qualified Nordic Walking instructor, went on stage and welcomed everyone to share in her passion for the activity, and spoke of how she will be using her capability to teach others Nordic Walking as a philanthropic project to give back to society.

KL Sogo Charity Nite & Business Partners’ Appreciation 2017

Longtime establishment KL Sogo celebrated its 23rd anniversary with a glitzy gala dinner at Shangri-La Hotel KL, but not forgetting to give back to charity by raising significant sums to help victims of flood disasters through the Touch Sogo Foundation. The charitable foundation also aims at helping the educationally and socially underprivileged groups by providing them with proper platform to acquire new skills.

The Glittering Baubles Of Life

Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s 2017 Christmas charity project successfully raised funds to heal disadvantaged children with heart ailments and other afflictions. Over RM4 million was raised and there was a special treat for the group of underprivileged and refugee children from Tasputra Perkim, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR).

38 Gen T Volunteers Helped Build A Home

Members of Gen.T and EPIC Homes worked together to build a house for one large family in Serendah during the Merdeka Weekend. The whole experience taught the volunteers how to give back to society by building a home for an underprivileged family. Bring Back The Kebaya Fundraiser

In the spirit of culture and community, #bringbackthekebaya was an evening of charity and fun as attendees immersed in joget dancing, kebaya and trinket shopping as well as dinner. Organised by Dr Lyana Khairuddin, proceeds from ticket sales went to the SEED Foundation, and was supported by guests like Datuk Paduka Nora Abdullah, Toh Puan Salina Ibak and Vivienne Lee.

Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Gala

Estée Lauder held its pink ribbon charity dinner at The Majestic Hotel KL this year. Proceeds from the night went to four organisations: Cancer Research Malaysia, National Cancer Society Malaysia, the Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation and Breast Cancer Welfare Association - with a total of RM480,000 being raised. And in usual Estée Lauder fashion, the entire Majestic Hotel KL was lit in pink for the night.

A Charity Evening with Adele: Rumour Has It

True to their annual tradition of combining charity with good food, company and music, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur’s area director of communications Dato’ Rosemarie Wee and Malaysia Tatler's managing director Florence Fang rallied up their friends to raise funds to aid in the surgeries of children with life-threatening heart disease. A total of RM300,000 was raised, thanks to generous souls like Dato’ Kevin Yong, Dato’ Jaya Tan and Datin Regina Tan and Lee Jim Leng. The response was so positive that Dato' Rosemarie and Florence decided to help two more children. The icing on top of the cake? Naomi Price channelled Adele’s onstage persona to belt out the British singer's radio-charting hits.
