"I’m never taking this off,” says Emily Lam-Ho of a dress from Chanel’s FW18 collection that she wore for this month’s cover shoot. She was equally enamoured by the accompanying high jewellery, also from Chanel.

While she had viewed many of the pieces during Couture Week in July, there were some that she hadn’t seen close up, let alone had the opportunity to wear.

The day of the shoot brought beautiful weather and Cobo House, the shoot location, was flooded with natural light. Emily had arrived fresh-faced with her three-year-old son in tow; he was delighted to be on set with his mum, whose professionalism and flawless look resulted in pictures that required very little retouching. As humble as ever, Emily credited that to the skills of photographer Kwannam Chu.

When the shoot wrapped, Emily popped a bottle of Dom Pérignon to celebrate with the team, stating that champagne was her weakness. Chanel may prove to be another weakness—aside from that dress, Emily had her eye on a pair of the maison’s metallic-gold thigh-high boots borrowed for the shoot.

After all, her ongoing quest to empower women is always approached in style.
