Former chief secretary Anson Chan and Cherie Blair, the wife of former British prime minister Tony Blair, were the guests of honour at the Asian University for Women fundraising benefit, In Honour of Daughters. The university, which celebrates its 10th year, provides world-class education to women across the region who come from disadvantaged communities. The inspiring evening featured talks from Blair and Chan along with Marani Mahatir, the daughter of Malaysian prime minister Mohamad Mahathir, and the scholars themselves. Sponsored by Lancome, the event was hosted by Sean Lee Davies and attended by more than 350 guests.
