The wedding, held in Tagaytay, was a sentimental affair—when the doors opened for Erika to walk down the aisle, she was touched to see not just her mum and future husband in tears, but her dad as well. Guests were also moved by the couple’s vows, which they had written themselves.
Attendees sipped cocktails and played lawn games while waiting for the newlyweds, who arrived at their reception in a vintage 1920 Cadillac. To jumpstart the festivities, the two performed “Never Knew Love Like This Before” by Stephanie Mills, with Patrick on the keyboard and Erika on drums—a skill she began learning only a week prior to the wedding. Their entourage joined them in dancing to the rest of the song.
The surprises didn’t stop there. As a gift to their daughter, Rikki and Beng Dee got Joey G from Side A to sing her favourite song, “Forevermore.” Much to everyone’s amusement, Patrick then performed a dance number with his entourage. Erika also created a video highlighting special moments with her dad, which was played right before their father-daughter dance.
While the programme closed with a bang (a fireworks display concluded the newlyweds’ speeches), the festivities continued through the night. Food was in great supply as a live band kept the music going. The Dee siblings even took to the stage and sang their hearts out.
The night was filled with laughter and happy tears, as family and friends celebrated Patrick and Erika’s union. On top of the wedding plans that were set in motion, the happiness and love shared between the couple and their guests made it a truly unforgettable affair.
