Alan Lo Hosts Intimate Dinner for Mr Porter’s Style Council
The city’s most stylish headed to the KEF Music Gallery in Central on May 20 for an intimate dinner during art week
On May 20, Alan Lo, restaurateur and Hong Kong art connoisseur, gathered the city’s most stylish men and women for an exclusive dinner at the KEF Music Gallery on Duddell Street for the induction of new members into Mr Porter’s prestigious Style Council, an exclusive style directory for the sartorially savvy man.
"I’m proud to be part of this community along with some of the most connected men from around the world. This is a very special moment for Hong Kong: it's our first Art Basel since 2019. We have been through a lot in the past two years so it’s nice to see the cultural community come together, albeit in extraordinary conditions." says Lo.
Architect and designer André Fu and Nick Buckley Wood were among the new honourees for 2021, which consists of actors, musicians, authors, athletes as well as tastemakers in their respective fields. The night's celebration included friends Queenie Rosita Law, William Zhao, Evan Chow and Yvonne Fong who came dressed to the nines to show their support.
After enjoying a Michelin-starred meal from Cantonese fine dining restaurant Duddell’s, guests viewed Lo’s personal art collection, which spanned the walls of the British audio brand’s showroom. Works by Ed Ruscha, Tadaaki Kuwayama, Tomoo Gokita and Rebecca Brodskis were on display, transforming the gallery into an intimate space for likeminded creatives to get together before kicking off an eventful week of art.
