Mariah Carey | 26 October | Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City

After Sam Smith captivates the hearts of his Filipino audiences, up next is the American singer/songwriter Mariah Carey. At age 18, she released her first album, Mariah Carey, with Columbia Records in 1990. Her career skyrocketed from then on. She holds the record of having the most singles debut at number one in the history of Billboard Hot 100. Called the “Songbird Supreme,” she is noted for her five-octave vocal range, vocal power, melismatic style, and signature use of the whistle register. Carey has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Waitress | 9 November to 2 December | Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium

Popular belter Bituin Escalante steps on to the theatre stage via the musical adaptation of the film Waitress. Escalante and Maronne Cruz have been cast in the production as Becky and Dawn, respectively. Meanwhile, renowned musical theatre actress Joanna Ampil will be playing the lead role of Jenna. Ang Pag-uusig | 5 October to 28 October | CCP Little Theatre

CCP presents the award-winning production Ang Pag-uusig, the Filipino adaptation of Arthur Miller’s 1953 play The Crucible.
