Where to go to strengthen your mind, body and spirit

1. The Flow Studio

The Flow Studio is a marriage between the functionality of a workout and a calming, beautiful interior by Other Projects NYC. The design is meant to give yoga and pilates devotees a comfortable space to conduct their practice.

The Dynamic Flow class strengthens body and balances the mind through the powerful Vinyasa style sequence done to music. For pilates, the Reformer Dynamic class is a fast-paced and intense full-body workout that strengthens and tones the entire body. Ideal for those who love to be challenged.

2. Sculpt Club

Julia van der Drift started her fitness career at FlyProject with their Flylab signature class. Her studio in Sri Hartamas decked out with numerous reformer machines is suitable for private solo or group sessions.

It boasts Kuala Lumpur's first slider class where it incorporates functional movements that focuses on toning, mobilising and strengthening the body. Our favourite part is the low impact but high intensity movements are choreographed to an upbeat rhythm.

3. Urban Springs

Located in a green part of Bangsar, the urban chic studio is a sanctuary for city dwellers. The décor features exposed brick walls and a mix of wooden and concrete floorings furnished with colourful beanbags.

The Hot Pilates class covers it all – stretching, cardio and toning for a strong and sculpted body in a studio heated at between 38 - 40°C. The heat warms up muscles to allow for a deeper stretch; at the same time it detoxifies the body through the release of toxins in sweat. The Pilates Reformer class is also a big hit.
