Healing energies and heart-to-heart conversations are the themes of this week as Venus catches up to Mars. This is Tatler's weekly horoscope for the week of July 11 to 17

Welcome back to our weekly astrology series led by Western astrologer, De Rui.

Venus catches up to Mars this week, signalling a perfect merging of the Universe’s yin and yang energies. Mercury moves into the sign of Cancer, softening our thoughts and expressions. Compassionate asteroid Chiron going retrograde is a time to examine our wounds.

Fall deeper in love

Star signs impacted the most: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius can be true romantics.

When the planet of love and beauty meets the Warrior planet, we can adopt a more polished and refined (Venus) approach to our goals and mates (Mars). Or we can show our prized friends, partners, and possessions (Venus) passion and loyalty like never before (Mars).

Combined with lots of contacts to dreamy, ephemeral Neptune this week, now is a great time to plan a lavish date or have a heart-to-heart conversation.

Healing insecurities

Star signs impacted the most: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn can move past old hurts.

The Wounded Healer, asteroid Chiron, begins its six-month retrograde period on Thursday. This is a time to reflect on how we handle suffering, both our own and that of others.

Chiron doubling back in the sign of Aries indicates younger Gen-Xers will continue to confront and heal some of their deepest insecurities.

Big picture planning

Star signs impacted the most: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces may get philosophical.

Mercury forms a positive connection with Jupiter, the planet of optimism and expansion this week. We might find ourselves thinking about the big picture and where the world is headed.

With Mercury now sitting in Cancer, we may also consider what’s best for our loved ones and how to build the most nurturing nest possible.
