After almost two months of self-haircut video tutorials and a flurry of rather amusing #QuarantineHair posts on Instagram, Malaysians breathed a sigh of relief when hair salons and barbershops were finally permitted to open earlier this month.
Sweeney Ted barbershop's founder Ted Lee was also pleased to open his doors again to loyal customers, albeit cautiously, and with a number of safety procedures in place.
"We were closed from the beginning of the MCO till it was announced that we could reopen on June 10. It was tough, but we needed to do our part in the fight against Covid-19," says Lee, who built an online business selling O’Douds and Burly Fellow men's grooming products prior to opening Sweeney Ted at The School, Jaya One.
On top of the stringent safety precautions imposed by the barbers, customers also can do their part to safeguard their health and ensure a smoother haircut by following these tips.
