Conscious Cinema Brings Science And Spirituality To The Big Screen
Films have always brought people together—from Charlie Chaplin's silent films that drew raucous laughter from early generations of theatre-goers, to the collective emotions evoked by the timeless dramas and romances that have graced the silver screen.
Founded by Hong Kong-based entrepreneur and yoga teacher Cristina McLauchlan, Conscious Cinema utilises the power of film, followed by engaging talks with experts, to create a sense of community and awareness about everything from conscious consumerism to spiritual paradigms.
Following the October 18 screening of "From the Ground Up"—an impactful documentary that follows the journey of elite athletes who follow a plant-based diet—Conscious Cinema will be returning on November 8 to screen "Heal".
The powerful documentary explores how by changing one's perceptions, the human body can heal itself.
Taking both a scientific and spiritual approach, the documentary taps into the brilliant mind’s of leading scientists and teachers like Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Anita Moorjani, Bruce Lipton and more, while following real people on high stakes healing journeys.
After the screening, Conscious Cinema encourages guests to delve deeper into the subject in a dedicated discussion session with Generation T honouree and co-founder of Iris Festival, Gianni Melwani, founder of newly opened medtiation studio Enhale, Mira Christanto and Reiki master teacher, Corie Chu. Finally, the evening will end with a guided meditation session.
