We’re putting the spotlight on some of the best female personal trainers in Hong Kong. From CrossFit athletes to abs specialists, these women mean business when it comes to fitness

1. Emma Chan

Always wearing a bright smile and stylish Nike sportswear, Emma Chan is a Nike Trainer who can be found coaching at Nike Training Club events and sharing her love for fitness around Hong Kong.

Having been based at Coastal Fitness Hong Kong for almost five years, Emma is also a CrossFit coach who specialises in one-on-one and small group training. 

2. Tammi Robinson

A newcomer to the Hong Kong fitness scene, Tammi is a familiar face in the CrossFit world. The South African CrossFit athlete will be competing in the 2020 Reebok CrossFit Games, the world’s premier test to find the “Fittest on Earth”. 

Currently based at Coastal Fitness Hong Kong, Tammi is a passionate coach who trains clients with different fitness levels, adapting her coaching method based on their goals and needs. This means you don’t need to be an athlete to train with her, but if your goal is to become an athlete, she can help you get there. 

3. Stephanie Cuvelier

Exercise physiologist and founder of Calibrate Studios, Stephanie specialises in mobility, rehabilitation, pre/post-natal fitness and lifestyle management. 

Her clientele ranges from mums to individuals who are recovering from surgery or injuries. No matter your fitness level, Stephanie’s approach to personal training focuses on building a strong foundation to optimise your physical performance.

4. Trixie Velez

Recently voted ClassPass’ “Best Instructor in Hong Kong”, Trixie is the founder of Defin8 Fitness and one of the most sought-after trainers in Hong Kong. 

With over 11 years in the fitness industry, Trixie’s coaching style is engaging and personalised. Her training methods are varied baed on client’s needs, which comprises a mix of Pilates exercises using the reformer, Cadillac, chair and barrels, and strength and conditioning exercises using TRX, barbells and free weights.

5. Utah Lee

One of the most recognised faces in the Hong Kong fitness community, Utah Lee is a Nike Master Trainer, a mum of two and a fitness influencer with a kick-ass personality and style. 

While you may find Utah in different venues across the city coaching at Nike Training Club events, she also offers one-on-one or small group training with a minimum of eight people. From Zumba, bootcamp to TRX, every workout with Utah guarantees a good sweat. 

6. Martina Edge

A strength and conditioning coach at Hybrid MMA, Martina holds certifications in corrective exercise, CrossFit and pre/post-natal fitness. 

Her clientele ranges from rugby athletes to individuals with acute or chronic injuries, and she lives by the motto "if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you". 

7. Stella Audrey L

As a coach at Strength Culture, Stella offers one-on-one and group training programmes with a focus on, you guessed it, strength—specifically strongman and powerlifting. 

Stella is passionate about changing misconceptions about female lifting weights and does so by guiding her clients in a safe and progressive manner. She lives by the motto "train for performance and aesthetics will come".

8. Rachel Haslam

Leading Ursus’ Weightlifting Club with her partner Jimmy Pang, Rachel specialises in Olympic weightlifting and offers personal training at Ursus. 

Whether you’re new to fitness or looking to fine-tune your weightlifting skills, Rachel is able to adjust the intensity of the training to tailor to your fitness level.

9. Anita Yiu

A coach at ATP Personal Training, Anita is an inspiring fitness professional who is not afraid to chase her dreams. Having competed in her first bikini competition last year, Anita is a living example of someone who walks the talk by demonstrating hard work and discipline in her lifestyle.

10. Janice Ng

If you’re all about abs, you’ve probably heard of Janice Ng, founder of AbsFocus. You can find her at Top Fit, where she coaches AbsFocus classes and trains her clients. 

As a Polestar Pilates certified trainer, Janice incorporates Pilates movements in her exercise programme, which targets the core muscles, core strength and helps build endurance. Her favourite warm-up exercise is jumping jacks.
