Zhou Dongyu, Ranked #3 On Forbes China Celebrity 100 List 2020, Is The New Omega Ambassador
Zhou Dongyu is the new Omega ambassador, joining a star-studded line-up that includes Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford and Hyun Bin. The 29-year-old actress is one of the youngest to have won awards at three major ceremonies in Chinese cinema, including the Golden Horse Awards (for Soul Mate), the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Golden Rooster Awards, the latter two for Better Days, which was Oscar-nominated Best International Feature Film.
“I am truly elated to be joining the Omega family," says Zhou in the press announcement. "I've always felt that innovation and precision are at the heart of Omega, and I'm beyond excited to grow with the Omega family in this collective pursuit of excellence as one of their brand ambassadors."
Indeed, Zhou is one of the most talented actresses of her generation, garnering acclaim for her movie debut in Zhang Yimou's Under the Hawthorn Tree. In its review of Better Days, Variety describes Zhou's performance as electrifying.
She is also one of China's most stylish and influential celebrities, as attested by her #3 ranking on Forbes China 100 Celebrity List. "A phenomenal talent who embraces Omega’s spirit of reinvention and commitment to excellence," says Raynald Aeschlimann, president and CEO of Omega of the brand's latest celebrity appointee. "Hard working, gracious and original, (Zhou) represents the best qualities of the emerging generation and we’re honoured to have her in the family."
In her first campaign images, she models the 34mm Constellation Small Seconds in 18k Sedna gold with burgundy dial. Much sought after by fashion editors and brands, Zhou had previously appeared in a holiday campaign for Burberry.
