The award-winning modern chronograph has been given a golden upgrade

A master at precision watchmaking, Zenith brought the wow factor when it released the Chronomaster Sport last year endowed with a robust and well-proportioned 41mm stainless steel case with tricolour dial. The automatic chronograph is powered by the high performance El Primero 3600 calibre that beats at 1/10th of a second. It would go on to win the Chronograph prize at GPHG 2021.

After such an impressive debut, Zenith upped its game by introducing rose gold versions of the model. One is a two-tone case and bracelet where industrial steel meets the splendour of rose gold, which is also used to craft the crown, the pushers and the bezel engraved with 1/10th of a second display. The sleek silver sunray dial with tricolour counters only adds to its attractiveness.

The sportiness of the chronograph gets a full-on formal treatment with a case and a bracelet entirely in rose gold. Available with white or black dials, the gold is finished in satin and polished for a truly luxurious option.

At the recent Watches & Wonders, Zenith also introduced a boutique-exclusive—and highly collectible—steel Chronomaster Sport with a ceramic bezel comprising three colours based on the traditional El Primero tricolour palette of grey, anthracite and blue.

Performance-wise, it is endowed with the same El Primero 3600 calibre, the first automatic chronograph movement with high frequency of 5Hz (36’000 VpH). It has quite the stamina too—60 hours of power reserve, to be exact. The movement features a blue column wheel and a skeleton rotor decorated with the five-pointed Zenith star, both visible through the sapphire caseback.
