Those who are familiar with the Ultraluxe Festival held in Singapore would already be well acquainted with its marquee event, Jeweluxe, which brings together fine jewellery houses from around the world in one fair. But there’s also something for watch aficionados—the Festival also comprises the Singapore Watch Fair, which is scheduled to take place at Resorts World Sentosa from 18 to 21 October.

This year’s edition of this watch event will see the participation of 20 brands and independent watchmakers, including Cultured Watch, Sartory Billard, Ludovic Ballouard, L’Epée 1839, LANG 1943, Zehua Tan and 2ToneVintage Watches.

Expect to see exquisite timepieces valued at US$25 million and some stunning horological marvels. One unusual highlight among them is the Ludovic Ballouard UD Osmium, which is made from osmium—the rarest precious metal on Earth, and is highly sought after for its distinctive upside-down numeral hour markers.

Besides watches for purchase, there will also be an opportunity to see some extraordinary historical timepieces, as well as limited-edition creations from the likes of Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe and Rolex.

The Essence of Time Museum is a showcase of these horological gems, organised by watch investment advisory firm FutureGrail, in collaboration with prominent watch collectors Sandro Fratini and Ali Nael. Curated by Arnaud Tellier, who is the former director and curator of the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva and FutureGrail’s key advisor, it will provide collectors with deeper insight into what it takes to build an investment-grade collection.

Women who are into horology won’t want to miss a special session in which prominent voices in the industry TickTock Belles, Dubai Watch Club Ladies and Kuwait Watch Club Ladies join forces to discuss watch collecting for women.

“Our unparalleled curation ensures that watch enthusiasts are treated to a collection of unique timepieces. These watchmakers take time out of their busy schedules to join us in Singapore for this annual event, where they personally present their craft and stories—an invaluable experience that we are proud to offer,” said the festival director of the Singapore Watch Fair, Nelson Lee.
