Rolex Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller: Icon of tomorrow’s world builders

The calibre 7135 oscillator, protected against strong magnetic fields by the materials used in its construction, features a balance wheel crafted from optimised brass and a balance shaft made from an exceptionally challenging material. The patented balance, exclusive to Rolex, is formed from a new high-tech ceramic and sculpted using laser technology, a first for the brand. Optimised Paraflex shock absorbers at each end of the balance shaft significantly enhance shock resistance in all positions.

Equipped with an advanced silicon Syloxi hairspring, the oscillator beats at a steady 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz), enabling timekeeping accurate to a tenth of a second. This frequency allows complete freedom of movement without compromising precision. While higher frequencies often consume more energy, the calibre 7135 maintains a 66-hour power reserve thanks to the Dynapulse escapement, combining performance with practicality.

The Land-Dweller debuts an integrated bracelet design, creating a seamless flow between case and bracelet. Its honeycomb-pattern dial, inspired by nature, is timeless. Available in 36 mm and 40 mm, it comes in white Rolesor, 18 ct Everose gold and 950 platinum, offering styles to suit a wide range of tastes.

Its most striking feature is the harmonious blend of case and bracelet, underpinning the entire concept of this timepiece. The Oyster case lines have been reinterpreted into the new Flat Jubilee bracelet. The interplay of textures, technical satin and polished accents adds refinement. Polished chamfers along the upper edges catch the light, creating an elegant band of reflections.

The dial’s character is expressed through meticulous detailing. Encircled by an angled bezel, its embossed honeycomb pattern adds depth. In the Chromalight-equipped model, openworked numerals and hour markers glow brilliantly for effortless legibility in any light. The hands, too, are distinctively shaped and luminous, uniting form and function.
