The double-storey boutique reflects the Swiss watchmaker's stature as a highly exclusive luxury brand that bucks conventions
Richard Mille has unveiled its much anticipated flagship boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur—and it doesn't disappoint. Eschewing classic marble, brass and soft furnishing, the interior is stark yet striking with dark wood and leather accents juxtaposing against glass. This clinical chic vibe aptly captures the brand's identity as an innovative engineer of fine watchmaking.
Spanning two floors, the centrepiece is a custom elevator surrounded by a glass tube emblazoned with the motif of watch gears and wheels. Meanwhile, the magnificent nine-metre facade facing Jalan Bukit Bintang is engraved with a silhouette of the RM 008 tourbillon split-seconds chronograph, chosen because its technical complexity echoes the brand's immense ability as a modern-day watchmaker.

Take a trip in the elevator to the upper level and you'll find a watchmaker's workshop, an addition that offers the immediate convenience of making small adjustments to your watches, including strap replacement.
For a brand that serves a very exclusive set of clientele, it is only fitting that it also offers a higher level of privacy and comfort in its service. To meet this, the boutique also boasts two private lounges complete with a bar and a wine cellar stocked with the best vintages.
