The ultra-thin Altiplano now boasts dials of meteorite stone.

The Piaget Altiplano is the gold standard when it comes to ultra-thin watches, with the manufacture holding the world records for the thinnest automatic and hand-wound wristwatches – the Altiplano Ultimate 910P (4.3mm thick) and the Altiplano Ultimate Concept (a mere 2mm) respectively.

The extreme slenderness is now expressed with the celestial beauty of meteorite stones. Often used in jewellery, the hard surface of meteorite stones have crisscrossed straight lines that offer clues about our galaxies.  Such stones are considerably thicker than conventional metals, and the decision to pair them with ultra-thin movements allow the watches to maintain a slim elegance.

The 40mm Altiplano in pink gold now hosts a grey meteorite dial. Apart from the slim baton hands and indices as well as a date window, the dial is unadorned to allow full appreciation of the stone’s beauty. Limited to 300 pieces, it is endowed with caliber 1203P that measures only 3mm in height.

The meteorite stone also inhabits a high complication model - the 41mm Altiplano Tourbillon. On the blue stone are the hour-and-minute counter at ‘8’ and the flying tourbillon at ‘2’. The tourbillon’s mesmerising dance is powered by caliber 670P that has a thickness of 4.6mm. Limited to 28 pieces, the case is white gold with diamond-set bezel.
