Blue dials will remain a popular staple as evidenced in the previews from these Swiss watch manufactures

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Enamel

Limited to 100 pieces, the Master Ultra Thin is looking better than ever with several redesigned elements. The most striking is the blue enamel dial that has been hand-guilloched to achieve a mesmerising sunray effect.

Meanwhile, the moon phase is more distinctive than before with a polished white disc against a star-filled midnight blue “sky”. The moon phase is surrounded by a circular frame that has been engraved to better highlight the numerals that make up the date sub-dial.

Accentuating the Master Ultra Thin’s classic style are the needle-thin hour markers that have been made longer, and split into two at the strategic points of ‘12’, ‘3’, ‘6’ and ‘9’. The slim white gold case houses the automatic Caliber 925 with 70 hours of power reserve. An open caseback allows one to appreciate its beautiful craftsmanship.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Perpetual Calendar

This classic luxury sports watch is taken to seriously complicated heights with the incorporation of a perpetual calendar. Instead of going the conventional route with the placement and look of the different calendar indications, Girard-Perregaux decided on what it calls “harmoniously off-set” design.

Set against a blue dial with Clou de Paris hobnail pattern, the day counter is at ‘9’ while the pointer date display sub-dial is positioned between ‘2’ and ‘3’. The month is shown via a long, curved aperture at '6', with the correct month indicated by a red pointer fixed at ‘5’. Above it is the indication for leap year.

Commanding the various calendar operation is an automatic movement developed and assembled entirely in-house, its Côtes de Genève motif visible via the sapphire caseback.

The Laureato case with octagonal bezel measures 42mm in diameter and under 12mm in height, making it an elegant timepiece for the glamorous jet-setter.
