The new Luminor gets an upgrade with Platinumtech, an alloy re-engineered by Panerai to be harder than platinum, for its case. Limited to 70 pieces, this boutique-exclusive is guaranteed by the manufacture for 70 years, a bold move offered last year in conjunction with Luminor's 70th anniversary. 

Adorned with the striking purple colour of the Premier League, of which Hublot is the Official Timekeeper, the Big Bang e Premier League connected watch comes with a Hublot Loves Football Premier League app that provides all the information and updates on English football at your fingertips. Think animated notifications on kick-off times (15 minutes before), goals, team line-ups and other relevant statistics, as well as a Match Mode during a match. Limited to 200 pieces, the case is made of lightweight titanium.

Distinguished by its striking skeleton flying tourbillon, the Excalibur Spider appears for the first time in a smaller 39mm case. This special edition Pirelli model boasts black DLC titanium case and paired with a rubber strap with an inlay made from actual tyre from a winning race car and features the Pirelli Cinturato pattern on the inside. Why would IWC do a tribute to a 1994 chronograph that barely registered on anyone's radar when it was first released? Thanks to the US$53,750 fetched by a piece that was in the personal collection of former IWC director Günter Blümlein a whole 25 years later, the model has gained new interest and earned the nickname "Black Flieger" after its original name Ceramic Fliegerchronograph Ref. 3705 and the black zirconium oxide ceramic case.

The latest iteration, which is limited to 1,000 pieces, retains the original dial design but the case has been updated with Ceratanium, a proprietary alloy that is as light as titanium but as scratch-resistant as ceramic.

The backstory behind this sleek diamond-set ladies timepiece involves rare expertise and countless hours of patience. Designed to showcase the beauty of carbon TPT that is used to craft the case and strap, the stubborn hardness of the material posed an additional challenge when it comes to setting gems. To get around the problem, CNC machines had to be fitted with diamond bits to create the settings while prongs—in 5N red gold, no less—had to be produced separately and embedded in the settings in varying dimensions to hold all 181 diamonds.

Despite the hardness, the carbon TPT is surprisingly supple as a strap while also offering the strength required to withstand wear and tear.
