Working with Bovet 1822, the British automaker has crafted custom timepieces to complement the one-of-a-kind Boat Tail car
True luxury is not just about how expensive it is; its essence lies in the craftsmanship and the commitment to it. And this is where the new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail excels. Working off a one-sentence brief from a client—"This car should mark a sense of occasion and serve that occasion like nothing else"—the highly sophisticated Boat Tail features a rear deck that opens up gracefully like butterfly wings to reveal compartment that can host a fridge, fine china and champagne.
Exquisitely crafted based on Rolls-Royce's coachbuilding concept which empowers the automaker the freedom of expression, the Boat Tail, which is inspired by J Class yachts, is an exceptional car that pushes the boundaries of bespoke.

So when it comes to the time instrument to go with this remarkable vehicle, Rolls-Royce naturally gravitates towards Bovet 1822, a Swiss watchmaker known for their high level of craftsmanship.
The partners created a pair of his-and-her Boat Tail tourbillon watches, designed to be fitted onto the dashboard of the car but can be converted into a wristwatch, a table clock, a pendant watch and even a pocket watch. The watches feature Bovet's signature Amadeo case measuring 44mm in diameter in 18k white gold with matching front dials designed with the same Caleidolegno veneer that appears on the aft deck of the Boat Tail.
