Horological brands celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary with a dash of local flavour.

On the occasion of Singapore’s 50th anniversary, we are reminded of the clout and importance of our tiny but mighty country. Louis Vuitton has released a Singapore version of its playful Escale Worldtime, where a red SIN indicates our time zone. The oscillating weight, viewed from the sapphire caseback, will be engraved with Louis Vuitton Singapore, and the timepiece comes in an edition of nine limited pieces.

Montblanc seems to have derived inspiration from Singapore’s pristine clean image, and has utilised a pearly white mother-of-pearl dial as a canvas for the silhouette of the merlion. This Meisterstück celebratory timepiece comes in pink gold and is available in 50 pieces. Meanwhile, Jaeger-LeCoultre flies the flag high with a rendering of the map of Singapore in the nationalistic colours of red and white on the solid side of the Grande Reverso Night & Day.
