Embodying mystery, elegance and timelessness, the La d De Dior now comes in a new matte, all-black version

One can never go wrong with an LBD, whether that’s a little black dress or a little black Dior—especially in the form of Dior’s new La d De Dior Black Ultramatte watch.

First launched in 2003, the feminine La d De Dior watch was created as “a ribbon that tells time”. Over the years, it has been crafted in various combinations of materials and colours to appeal to different styles. Continuing to build on this multi-faceted collection, this new all-black model is a versatile piece to suit any occasion.

In addition to its universal appeal, the colour black is deeply rooted in Dior’s history. In his book The Little Dictionary of Fashion published in 1954, Christian Dior lauded the virtues of black, a colour that can be worn at any time, at any age and on any occasion: “I could write a whole book on black.”

As the maison continues to be inspired by its founder, Dior Joaillerie’s artistic director Victoire de Castellane has put a contemporary spin on the La D de Dior with a wash of deep, matte black.

The sleek watch comes in a 34mm round case housing a dial adorned with three black diamond markers, paired with a Milanese mesh steel bracelet in black coating and textured with the Satine pattern. It also comes in a version embellished with a black diamond-set bezel, which adds a subtle sparkle to the watch.
