In collaboration with Cortina Watch HK, the renowned jeweller and watchmaker opened its first flagship boutique in the city
Renowned jeweller and watchmaker Jacob & Co is synonymous with meticulous craftsmanship and unparalleled creativity. Transcending the brand’s designs, these codes are also masterfully encoded in a new physical space recently unveiled in Hong Kong in collaboration with Cortina Watch HK.
Following in the footsteps of ten other global stores, in locations including London, Tokyo and the Caribbean, Jacob & Co’s creations are now available in person to Hong Kong’s haute horlogerie fans at the city’s first boutique to focus solely on its timepieces. Having opened in January 2024, the store is housed within another luxury icon—The Peninsula hotel, located on Tsim Sha Tsui’s bustling Salisbury Road.
The new flagship celebrates a graphic, monochrome aesthetic, drawing together black and white cues with silver touches, to reflect Jacob & Co’s branding across the region. The space is further accentuated with art deco details, designed by founder and creative director of Jacob & Co, Jacob Arabo.
Of course, the most highly anticipated part of the Hong Kong flagship store is the watches—each of them an exquisite piece of high jewellery worthy of being passed on through generations as heirloom treasures. Highlights found within the store include the Astronomia Revolution, one of only six in the world, which is powered by the Exclusive Jacob & Co Manual Winding JCAM48 calibre and features a mesmerising double-axis tourbillon cage. The main axis makes a full turn on the dial in just a minute, something rarely seen on a wristwatch, and the reflective honeycomb treatment takes its inspiration from the James Webb Space Telescope.

Another highlight is the Jacob & Co x Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon collaborative piece, seamlessly capturing the visceral sensation of the iconic Bugatti 16-cylinder engine, housed under a huge sapphire crystal. It contains a unique animation when activated by the crown: the engine comes to life, showcasing a turning crankshaft, pumping pistons and spinning turbochargers. There is also an option to customise the timepiece to the specifications of your own Bugatti vehicle.
Another key timepiece is the 46mm Gotham City, which celebrates a ground-breaking partnership with DC Comics, and pays tribute to Batman by embodying the dark knight visually, including a bat emblem-shaped dial. It is highlighted by an outline in Neoralithe, a material produced from resin, which glows blue in the dark, reminiscent of the bat signal. The luxury complication is fitted with a pair of triple-axis tourbillons symbolising Batman’s dedication to the finest gear.
