Hublot has partnered with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham to launch Arsham Droplet, a reimagined pocket watch that can be worn three ways

Swiss watchmaker Hublot, renowned for its collaborations with artists in watchmaking, has unveiled its latest innovation with New York-based contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. Arsham Droplet, a reimagined pocket watch, dropped on June 6, at an event hosted by the brand in London. This limited-edition piece—only 99 units available—brings a fresh perspective to Hublot’s timepieces, emphasising functionality, design and versatility. Here’s why we love it.

The watch gets its name from its droplet shape. Its unusual case shape measures 73.2mm in length, 52.6mm in width and 22.5mm in thickness. It is crafted from a mix of titanium and rubber, with sapphire crystal accents, ensuring durability while maintaining a lightweight feel.

The design features a double-domed sapphire that allows a clear view of the internal mechanics, a nod to Arsham’s style of making the internal components of objects part of the aesthetic. Powering Arsham Droplet is Hublot’s HUB1201 manufacture Meca-10 movement, known for its 10-day power reserve. This manual winding mechanism is a significant upgrade in the world of pocket watches, allowing for longer use between windings. The movement is treated with grey PVD and features a luminescent green power reserve indicator, enhancing functionality and visual appeal.

One of the most compelling features of Hublot Arsham Droplet is its versatility. It includes two polished titanium chains and a decorative titanium and mineral glass table stand. These accessories allow the watch to be used in multiple ways: as a pendant worn around the neck, a traditional pocket watch or as a centrepiece when displayed on the stand. What’s not to like?
